Ocorian bolsters APAC global fund services team

Ocorian has strengthened its team with three new senior appointments to its global fund services team in Asia Pacific (APAC), all based in Singapore.

Naveen Sivaambihaibalan joins the firm as head of fund services, APAC, where his primary responsibilities include expanding its fund services offering both to clients in APAC and globally.

Most recently, Sivaambihaibalan was vice president of private equity and real estate operations at Apex Fund Services. He has 12 years of experience in the industry across large real asset funds, sovereign clients and private equity and real estate clients across APAC.

Also joining from Apex is Cursley Legoff, who has been appointed as client director of Ocorian.

His primary responsibilities are to manage and develop the team of fund administrators and implement strategies to support the growth and expansion of the business.

Cursley is assisting Sivaambihaibalan in building the fund administration services offering to clients in APAC. At Apex he was a vice president leading private equity and real estate business.

Meanwhile, Vikram Nursing takes on the role of senior manager. His primary responsibilities are to manage the day-to-day operations and client relationships.

Nursing also joins Ocorian from Apex where he was assistant vice president, private equity and real estate operations.

On the appointments, Simon Behan, chief commercial officer, commented: “We are seeing continued significant growth in our APAC Fund Services division as we partner with some of the leading asset owners and managers in the region and support their global distribution plans. It is a real feather in our cap to continue to attract some of the best talent in the market to join the Ocorian family.”

Elsewhere, Ocorian also recently acquired Newgate Compliance, a London-based compliance consultancy and hosted regulatory solutions provider for funds clients.
