SteelEye, a London-based compliance technology and data analytics firm, has appointed Rob Bernstein from Bloomberg as its new chief financial officer (CFO), as part of its latest growth push.
As CFO, Bernstein will lead SteelEye's financial operations and report directly into SteelEye’s CEO, Matt Smith.
Bernstein was most recently CFO at RegTek Solutions, which was acquired by Bloomberg in August 2019. Before that, he was CFO at TIM Group between 2010 and 2018.
In a statement on the hire, SteelEye describes how Bernstein has led both organic and acquisition growth strategies and debt and equity financing, executing on three trade sales of tech-enabled fast-growth businesses.
“Rob Bernstein has a proven track record of building successful fintech companies and solutions, bringing invaluable experience to our financial management, strategic planning and future fundraising,” says Smith. “As we enter our next phase of growth, we are delighted to have Rob on board.”
Bernstein adds: “This is an exciting time to join SteelEye, as the company continues to pave the way for financial compliance and data management.”
His appointment marks the latest step in SteelEye’s growth as a service provider and comes weeks after it was selected by CIAM, an investment management firm, to provide trade surveillance, best execution and record keeping.
