Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services has launched a new investor portal for alternative asset managers.
The new portal, which has been built in partnership with fintech provider InvestCloud, will provide an enhanced investor experience, updated data feeds, as well as customised views and analysis.
It also includes a direct interface allowing investors access to updated investment data; secure data transmission and data visualisations of metrics including balances, transactions and returns; and custom data views, plus the ability to save and export these views into Excel.
Additionally, Northern Trust said the portal will have “seamless workflows” with automated notifications prompting investors to share information with their investment manager when needed.
Jeff Boyd, CEO of Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services, commented: “We aim to be an extension of our clients’ business and understand the significant role that technology plays in their relationships with investors.”
Boyd continued: “With this innovative new portal, we have empowered our clients with greater agility to meet evolving investor expectations as the alternatives industry quickly becomes more complex.”
Will Bailey, chief strategy officer at InvestCloud, added: “We are excited to partner with Northern Trust as they transform fund administration operations by embracing digital capabilities, including 24/7 investor data access, visualisation of key metrics, and massive data analysis flexibility.”
Meanwhile, Northern Trust plans future versions of the investor portal to include electronic submission of capital activity and other supporting documents, as well as data visualisation for tracking committed capital against funded capital for private equity managers.
