ISSA welcomes Credit Suisse’s Andrew Luscombe as board member

The International Securities Services Association (ISSA) has elected Credit Suisse’s Andrew Luscombe to the board, effective 1 January 2020.

Luscombe is Credit Suisse’s head of group operations Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. He is also the global head of market-facing operations and network within group operations.

He joined Credit Suisse in Hong Kong in February 2001 and has held management positions in information technology, operations and operational risk, based in Hong Kong, Singapore and India.

Meanwhile, Nicola Kane will step down as Credit Suisse’s ISSA board member at the end of 2020.

The chair of the ISSA board, Phil Brown, thanked Nicola on behalf of ISSA for her contribution and guidance during her tenure.

Commenting on her experience, Kane said: “I am a great believer in ISSA and the contribution it makes to the financial services industry. I am proud that Credit Suisse and I remain active supporters of the association’s work, and that Andrew Luscombe will take over my position as the bank’s representative.”

Colin Parry, CEO of ISSA, commented: “I have met Luscombe previously during my working career. I know that he is an excellent appointment and look forward to benefiting from his insights and knowledge as a board member.”

It has also been revealed that Mike Thrower from Broadridge and Timothy Tilley from Citigroup have been appointed as representatives on the ISSA Operating Committee.

In August, ISSA elected Caroline Butler, global head of custody for BNY Mellon, to its board of directors.
