EFA joins the United Nations Global Compact initiative

Asset servicing company European Fund Administration (EFA) has joined the United Nations Global Compact Initiative, one of the largest corporate sustainability initiatives in the world.

Launched in 2000, the initiative consists of more than 12,300 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries.

EFA explains that the initiative represents a unique example of cooperation between the business world and the international community as it assembles not only companies but civil society, non-governmental organisations, governments, business associations and United Nations (UN) bodies.

Signatories adhere to align their operations and strategies with 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption.

Joining the Global Compact will help EFA further improve its efforts by collaborating with other leading organisations that are focused on a sustainable future.

Noel Fessey, CEO of EFA, says: "We believe that what we do today — individually and
collectively — shapes our world's future. We believe that we have a responsibility to help shape a better, sustainable future. We have therefore committed to upholding the UN Global Compact's 10 principles for corporate sustainability."
