John Binder joins Goal Group

Goal Group, the class action recovery and international tax reclamation services specialist, has appointed John Binder as vice president, operations.

Based in New York, Binder will report to Stephen Everard, CEO of Goal Group.

In his new role, Binder will lead the firm's ADR processing, tax reclaims and securities class actions operations team.

He joins from BNY Mellon where he most recently served as vice president of corporate actions.

At BNY Mellon, he directed corporate actions including redemptions, proxies, mandatory events, and voluntary announcements and processing.

Before that, Binder worked at Deutsche Bank for a period of eight years from June 2008 to June 2016. At Deutsche Bank, he also worked as vice president of agency securities lending before leaving.

Goal Group has headquarters in London and offices in New York and Melbourne.

The firm has a large client base including global custodians, asset and fund managers, private banks, pension funds, local government authorities, hedge funds, investment banks, prime brokers and fund managers.
