MUFG Investor Services (MUFG IS) has expanded its team with the appointments of Simon Coombes, Vasilis Sotiris and Christina Villa.

Coombes joins MUFG IS’ business development team and will focus on delivering solutions to clients throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific regions.

Prior to MUFG-IS, Coombes worked at Apex as head of middle office solutions sales, based in London.

Meanwhile, Sotiris has been appointed as head of data engineering and strategy where he will lead the execution of MUFG IS’ data strategy.

Sotiris joins from Cerebri AI where he most recently served as vice president data science, based in Washington DC.

Villa takes on the role of head of IT business management and planning.

In this capacity, Villa will be responsible for the planning and governance of the IT function as well as for driving forward key IT deliverables.

MUFG IS provides financial and technology solutions to the global investment industry. It provides its clients and their investors with solutions delivered via its in-house development operations team and MUFG Investor Services FinTech.

Recently, MUFG IS expanded its limited partner services offering to Europe and Asia in response to increased market demand for limited partner services globally by private equity, real estate and other institutional investors.
