SimCorp has partnered with Qontigo to integrate its Axioma equity factor risk models — Axioma Portfolio Optimizer and Axioma Risk, directly within SimCorp’s platform and through standardised application programming interface (APIs).
It is one of several portfolio optimisation and risk analytics partnerships in which SimCorp aims to complement and enhance its own front-office suite.
Axioma Portfolio Optimizer offers clients a flexible approach to customising portfolio objectives and constraints. Its equity factor risk models cover a variety of fundamental and statistical variants and aims to give portfolio and risk managers a fully aligned view.
Through Qontigo’s solution Axioma Risk, SimCorp Dimension is a multi-asset portfolio risk management platform designed to support the requirements of each investment manager.
The combination of these solutions with SimCorp Dimension will deliver clients seamless front office workflows, augmenting portfolio optimisation and will also enrich the investment decision making process, says SimCorp.
Anders Kirkeby, head of open innovation at SimCorp comments: “We’re very happy to have Qontigo join our Open Platform partnerships. Our ambition is to provide a strong selection of partners across the industry, giving clients easy access to innovative solutions, while maintaining secure and consistent data across the value chain. The approach we have taken is to offer optionality over championing one provider in a given space.”
Brian Rosenberg, chief revenue officer at Qontigo says: “We are pleased to become part of SimCorp’s Open Platform community. This partnership is a natural fit for Qontigo, as we share a philosophy of open ecosystem innovation. Providing the end-client with flexibility and choice is critical to both entities.”
