Pierre Khemdoudi, Ivan Nicora, and Till Rosar have joined the International Securities Services Association (ISSA) board.
Khemdoudi is the global head of equities and senior vice president at IHS Markit. His responsibilities cover regulatory reporting, securities finance, exchange traded funds and index aggregation (DeltaOne), dividend forecasting, trading services and research signals.
On the board, he replaces John Stewart who has left his job as vice president at IHS Markit to become the co-CEO at OSTTRA.
According to Phil Brown, ISSA chairman, IHS Markit is providing ISSA with a new board member who brings “an extremely strong knowledge of securities financing and a record of building out a business fit for the 21st Century”.
“These skills will allow Pierre Khemdoudi to quickly add value to the ISSA Board and help ISSA on its journey. We thank John Stewart for his contribution to the board and wish him well in his new role at OSTTRA,” says Brown.
Meanwhile, Euroclear’s Nicora brings to the board a wide range of experience in risk management, network management, sales and product management.
Nicora has worked at Euroclear for over 20 years. He currently serves as head of investor services. Nicora replaces Jason James Nabi.
Brown comments: “We believe that Ivan Nicora’s background with his well-rounded capabilities and his involvement in digitisation at Euroclear will be a benefit to the board.”
Rosar joins the board to represent the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), replacing James Fok. At HKEX, Rosar is the managing director and head of strategy.
In this capacity, Rosar oversees the development of HKEX’s strategy, working alongside the CEO and other business heads. He leads the execution of key strategic projects and is responsible for establishing key strategic partnerships on behalf of the group.
Commenting on Rosar’s appointment, Brown cites: “We are approaching the annual review of our strategy, set against an evolving market landscape, and Till Rosar’s expertise will be invaluable in providing fresh insight, in the development of our plan, especially given the increasing significance of Asia in global markets.”
