Intertrust, the provider of specialised administration services, has appointed David Sarfas as country head of Luxembourg.

Based in Luxembourg, Sarfas will report to Chitra Baskar, chief operating officer, head of products and funds.

Sarfas joined Intertrust Group in December 2020 as global head of private capital.

Prior to Intertrust, Sarfas was global head of private equity and real assets at MUFG Investor Services from 2018 to 2020.

Before that, Sarfas served at Citco as head of Europe, private equity and real estate from 2014 to 2018.

Sarfas’ appointment is part of Intertrust’s wider effort to expand its team and reinforce its commitment to Luxembourg and its regional clients.

Commenting on Sarfas’s appointment, Baskar says: “We are delighted to expand and strengthen our Luxembourg team at Intertrust Group. David will help drive business growth through effectively reviewing and prioritising business flow into Luxembourg, helping us to deliver our priorities in the region. He brings a wealth of experience and will play a key role in accelerating the growth of the Luxembourg office.”
