China-based asset management firm Starlight Capital (Starlight) has selected Apex Group for fund administration and corporate services.

Starlight was founded in 2021 by managing partner Tao Tang, who is also the co-founder of Eastern Bell Capital.

Starlight raised its very first Renminbi fund four months after its establishment and is currently raising its first US dollar fund, which has attracted a lot of international institutional investors’ attention.

Apex will provide fund administration and corporate services to Starlight’s latest funds.

Amber Lo, head of business development for North Asia at Apex Group, comments: “We are delighted to be supporting the Starlight Capital team with the launch and ongoing administration of their fund vehicles. Apex’s services will allow Starlight to focus on their core purpose: raising and investing capital in early-stage opportunities to grow China’s digital economy and generate returns for their investors.”

Tang adds: “Apex’s single-source solution presents a compelling offering – allowing us to efficiently access all the fund and corporate services we require, through one service provider relationship. We have so far been impressed with the high quality of Apex’s services as well as the notable experience and responsiveness of the team. We look forward to continuing to work together on future funds and vehicles.”
