Bloomberg and London-based fintech company Insightful Technology (Insightful) have partnered to integrate compliance systems as part of a wider effort to enhance Bloomberg's surveillance, trade reconstruction, and analytics capabilities.
The collaboration extends Bloomberg Vault's (Vault) compliance and surveillance offerings by providing access to content sources including web conferencing, and mobile communication channels, along with file, trade, and structured data protocols.
Insightful’s Soteria Integrated Compliance Solution (Soteria) is a data management system that is able to capture, normalise, aggregate, and analyse chat, voice, video, and trade data sets from direct files or application programming interfaces.
Insightful will support a Soteria service for Bloomberg clients within its data centers, which will integrate directly into Vault where joint clients can utilise Soteria's capture services directly within Vault.
With Insightful’s data models, risk profiles, and translation capabilities, the integration will also offer artificial intelligence-based voice surveillance, trade reconstruction, case management, and behavioural analytics.
Clients may also choose to use Soteria's standalone translation and surveillance, voice, data and behavioural analytics offerings in parallel with Vault.
Commenting on the collaboration, Nader Shwayhat, global head, compliance, voice, and directory solutions at Bloomberg, says: "The focus of the Bloomberg compliance solutions team remains on innovation and growth of our offerings and Soteria is a natural complement to Bloomberg Vault for e-communications archival and the real-time Bloomberg Surveillance offering."
Robert Houghton, founder and chief technology officer of Insightful Technology, adds: "We are excited for Bloomberg's collaboration with Insightful Technology to bring our combined, advanced offering to life, the joint vision and roadmap planned will deliver and protect our mutual clients."
