Steve Fragnière, head of Swiss large corporates in the region, will take over as head of region for Suisse Romande at Credit Suisse from Christian Steinmann, with effect from 1 August 2022.

Steinmann, the current regional head of Suisse Romande and head of private banking in the region, will take on the role of head of private banking and become a member of the executive board of Banque Cantonale Vaudoise.

Nicolas Vaccaro, currently CEO of Credit Suisse Trust Ltd, will take over from Steinmann, becoming the new head of private banking for Suisse Romande on 1 October 2022.

André Helfenstein, CEO of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd, comments: "As the head of Swiss large corporates in French-speaking Switzerland, Fragnière is highly familiar with the region Suisse Romande. He has 20 years of experience in client business at Credit Suisse and is ideally qualified to manage and further develop the region.

“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Steinmann for his decades-long commitment to our bank. He is a strong leader who has been instrumental in ensuring the continued success of region Suisse Romande."

Roger Suter, designated head of private banking Switzerland at Credit Suisse, adds: "Vaccaro has worked at Credit Suisse since 2000 and, thanks to his extensive experience, is perfectly equipped to service the sophisticated needs of private banking clients. He will successfully continue the very good work that Steinmann has done in this area."
