BNP Paribas has appointed Dodla Rohit Reddy to head of securities services India, effective immediately.

In this role, Reddy will lead the securities services teams in India and will be responsible for continuing to develop new business opportunities for the bank.

Based in Mumbai, he will report to Franck Dubois, head of Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas Securities Services, and to Sanjay Singh, CEO of BNP Paribas India.

His appointment comes after a 14-year tenure at BNP Paribas, where he was previously director and global head of the business solutions unit.

Reddy joined BNP Paribas Global Securities Operations in 2008 and has since held a number of senior roles at securities services in India and France.

Commenting on the appointment, Dubois says: “India is a fast-growing and exciting market for us. We have developed a compelling offering in the country, powered by our strong local market expertise and the strength of our integrated banking model.

“Rohit’s expertise will help us further develop our offering and continue to build our presence in the country.”

BNP Paribas’s Securities Services business provides foreign portfolio investors in India with a range of asset servicing, clearing and settlement services. The bank also acts as local custodian to domestic institutions investing in the country.
