SS&C Technologies Holdings (SS&C) has aligned its global fund administration and servicing brands under its SS&C GlobeOp business.

SS&C’s Bhagesh Malde will lead SS&C GlobeOp and will report to Rahul Kanwar, president and chief operating officer.

Malde has served at SS&C for more than five years, most recently as a general manager of Global Op. With more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, he has worked for major companies including State Street and J P Morgan.

GlobeOp encompasses SS&C’s hedge fund administration, private markets administration, insurance global servicing, and middle-office services, and also provides middle- and back-office outsourcing and loan servicing.

GlobeOp currently holds more than US$2.23 trillion in assets under administration. With AUM in the global alternatives industry predicted to double to more than US$23 trillion by 2026.

Bill Stone, chairman and CEO of SS&C, comments: “As the alternative investment landscape continues to expand, demand has grown for innovative technology solutions to accommodate complex, hybrid fund structures. Bhagesh has led impressive growth in our private markets business and has seen first-hand the need for more comprehensive services across multiple asset and fund types."

Malde says: “We see convergence in the market as insurers expand their investment portfolios into alternatives, while equity-focused hedge and private market funds seek out private lending opportunities. By bringing together our expertise across different fund, investor, and asset types, we can deliver to our clients a seamless servicing experience and help them to meet their growth goals.”
