Citi Securities Services (Citi) has launched Vote Connect Total in Australia and New Zealand. The solution is provided by Proxymity, who will cover the entire proxy voting service lifecycle for Citi’s clients in the region.

Vote Connect Total enables the direct publishing of ‘golden source’ meeting announcements and agendas from issuers to investors. The latter are able to vote in real-time and receive true digital confirmation, without manual intervention. This will improve transparency as well as time and cost efficiency for all in the proxy voting chain, the company says.

The service has already been rolled out across Europe, with other jurisdictions expected to follow.

Mark England, head of securities services for Citi in Australia and New Zealand, says: “Investor communications are being transformed by replacing manual processes with modern digital automation. Our long-term partnership with Proxymity reflects our commitment to providing the most innovative solutions to improve client experience and create efficiency in the market.”

Dean Little, co-founder and CEO of Proxymity, adds: “We are proud to grow and deepen our working relationship with Citi, who have been with us on this journey from the beginning. By enabling them to extend Proxymity's solutions to their blue-chip clients in Australia and New Zealand, together we have delivered another great milestone for Citi clients in the APAC region.”
