The Clearing House (TCH) has appointed Melissa Ashley, president and CEO of payments firm Corporate One Federal Credit Union, as a member of its real-time payments (RTP) business committee.
Ashley has 30 years of experience in the financial industry, with much of her career spent in credit union services. She joined the RTP advisory committee earlier this year, in which she provides insights and suggestions to TCH on the execution of its strategic objectives.
The RTP business committee provides input and guidance on the strategic execution of TCH’s RTP network, establishing and updating rules around the business. The group is made up of representatives from banks and credit unions of all sizes.
Commenting on her role, Ashley says: “The rapidly changing payments landscape has made it imperative for credit unions to implement RTPs to stay competitive. I'm honoured to serve on this committee as Corporate One continues to evolve our expertise [in this area].”
