Crestbridge has appointed Marcelo Gazzi as a director of the institutional governance services team. The division covers Crestbridge’s management company, director, client compliance, depository, trustee, appointed representative and operator business units.

As a member of the director services team Gazzi will be responsible for the team’s evolution, ensuring that clients receive specialised governance and oversight solutions.

Gazzi has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning his career as a partner at Principal Investimentos in Brazil. He joins Crestbridge from HSBC, where most recently he was wholesale chief administration officer for the company’s non-ring-fenced bank and its Channel Islands and Isle of Man operations.

Alex Le Quesne, group head of governance services at Crestbridge, says: “Providing robust, innovative governance support lies at the heart of our service proposition, as we continue to see the governance needs of clients across our private equity and real estate service lines becoming increasingly complex and sophisticated.

“[Marcelo’s] experience working within a dynamic, global corporate banking environment will further enhance our senior team as we continue to evolve and develop our governance services platform for clients.”

In recent weeks, Crestbridge has also appointed Caroline Thompson as a director in the corporate and capital markets team, and Nicola Wilson and Shella Ramos as associate directors of the real estate funds and client operations divisions respectively.

Dean Hodcroft, chief executive at Crestbridge, comments: “In our latest round of promotions, not only our client-facing colleagues but also those who work across our support services [have been] recognised. HR, finance, marketing, business development, client operations and technology underpin our commitment to providing the highest level of client service and our strategic success relies on this consistent collaboration across all our service lines. To see it working with such success across our business is testament to the attitude and commitment of our workforce.”
