Euronext’s supervisory board has proposed the appointment of Benoît van den Hove as CEO and chairman of Euronext Brussels. He is expected to replace Vincent Van Dessel as CEO in July, and as chairman in December 2023.
Van den Hove has more than two decades of experience in the financial industry, and currently serves as head of listing for Belgium and Luxembourg at Euronext. Prior to this, he spent more than 15 years at Benelux bank ING. He held a range of senior roles at the company, including head of legal for financial markets in Belgium.
Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and chairman of the managing board of Euronext, says: “We are delighted to propose the appointment of Benoît van den Hove as the next CEO and chairman of Euronext Brussels. His experience as local head of listings, his knowledge of market dynamics, and his close connection with the local stakeholders position him well to lead the Brussels operations and teams.
“Vincent Van Dessel has been deeply involved in Euronext’s transformative journey from the start. I would like to thank this passionate professional who has dedicated his career to the stock exchange for his critical contribution to the execution of the group’s strategy in Belgium and beyond.“
