The European Association of Clearing Houses has launched a Women in Clearing Network.
This is designed to provide a forum for discussion and development by connecting women in the CCP-clearing world and is open to all women with a professional interest in clearing activities, including CCPs, clearing members, clients, regulators and government employees and the university sector.
The founders indicate that the women leaders in the clearing industry are ready to inspire their counterparts through the network, exchange views on clearing subjects and share best practice. The group will also support talent development and encourage innovation and new opportunities.
The network will announce its first meeting shortly and will maintain a LinkedIn group to support its activities.
Paolo Fico, board member of EACH and one of the key professionals inspiring the network, says: ‘The network aims to bring out the contribution of women talent in a sector of systemic importance for capital markets. A contribution made up of strong skills, international experience and specialisation that, through this initiative, we want to share for the benefit of our members and the entire clearing industry.
“Gender equality, diversity and inclusiveness are elements that contribute to strengthening the market infrastructure, especially in the phase of profound and rapid changes that are characterising this sector.
