Bloomberg has integrated with solutions provider Burgiss to offer a customised cash flow report to the firms’ mutual clients, delivered to Bloomberg’s PORT Enterprise portfolio and analytics solution.
The partnership forms part of Bloomerg’s aim to provide a total portfolio view to buy-side clients, allowing for greater transparency and comparability across asset classes.
Furthering this initiative, Burgiss has adopted the Financial Instrument Global Identifier (FIGI) open data standard, making its maintained funds more available and comparable to mutual clients and enabling clients to more easily analyse and compare private capital funds on the Bloomberg Terminal.
Josef Kirkland, head of portfolio and risk analytics at Bloomberg, comments: “We are focused on providing asset owners with tools that enable them to have a consolidated view of their investments in a single place, whether those assets are public or private. We are committed to delivering this transparency with offerings that minimise operational burdens to client workflows. The integration between PORT Enterprise and Burgiss delivers on this goal.”
Brian Schmid, managing director and head of product and applied research at Burgiss, says: “Burgiss is committed to providing private capital solutions within any total portfolio solution that a client may choose. With that goal in mind, we are pleased to be working closely with Bloomberg to provide integration of Burgiss Data into PORT Enterprise for mutual clients.”
