Futures industry technology provider FIA Tech has opened Atlantis, its settlement platform, to buy-side market participants.
Atlantis facilitates the calculation, invoicing and payment of brokerage fees to executing brokers. Clients can now manage execution brokerage payments directly, rather than Atlantis enabling payments from clearing to executive brokers.
The platform offers a standardised, central way to process brokerage invoicing, using data from trade sources including clearing houses, interdealer brokers and other participants. Automation and integrated workflows are used to reconcile fees and resolve disputes, with the service processing more than 170 million trades each year.
Nick Solinger, president and CEO of FIA Tech, says: “Buy-side firms and end-users in exchange-traded derivatives face many of the challenges sell-side firms face in managing fees, commissions and brokerage. We are pleased whenever we can help streamline operations and remove costs for clients and their brokers.”
