Markus Sauerland to depart NFPE 02 November 2023 Germany Reporter: Klea Neza

Markus Sauerland will be retiring from his role as CEO of Nomura Financial Products Europe (NFPE) as of December 31, 2023. He will be replaced by Shogo Ohira, who is currently NFPE’s chief client management officer and country head of Germany.
Ohira has held a number of senior roles at the company, including head of Japan Equity Sales in Tokyo, deputy head of trading service department, and country head of Malaysia.
Christoph Heins, who joined Nomura in July as chief financial and administrative officer, will become deputy CEO.
Heins joined NFPE from Commerzbank, where he held various local and international assignments, the most recent being head of group finance. Before this, Heins served as head of finance, market risk controlling, back office operations and information technology at Eurohypo New York.
