New York-based market infrastructure giant DTCC has released OTC Direct Connect, a data access service for OTC derivatives transactions that fall under regulatory reporting obligations in the US and Canada.
DTCC states that this solution eliminates manual data collection, offering automated and scalable access to data published through the DTCC Data Repository’s public price dissemination dashboard. It notes that this solution will help subscribers to manage market risks and trading risk factors in near real-time.
Subscribers to OTC Direct Connect will receive data held on Amazon Web Services (AWS) via the AWS Data Exchange, which provides ready access to third-party data held in the cloud in AWS, and links to other AWS services including Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Athena and Amazon Redshift.
Commenting on the OTC Direct Connect solution, managing director of DTCC Data Services Tim Lind says: “This solution systematically and seamlessly disseminates OTC derivatives transaction data to interested parties.
“OTC Direct Connect improves transparency in the OTC derivatives markets, as intended by regulatory disclosure mandates, by providing subscribers with improved information access.”
