State Street rolls out Proxymity Vote Connect in new markets

State Street has deployed Proxymity Vote Connect for Portuguese and Spanish markets. Citi is acting as sub-custodian.

Proxymity Vote Connect allows issuers to directly publish golden source meeting announcements to investors and intermediaries, improving the speed and accuracy of reporting.

Users benefit from transparent, occurrence and efficient communications processes, the company says.

State Street has been using the product since 2021, and is extending the service to its underlying clients invested in Spain and Portugal due to Citi’s connection to Proxymity.

Dean Little, co-founder and CEO of Proxymity, says: “We are committed to advancing a truly digital, real-time investor relations system that can extend globally throughout the financial ecosystem and further strengthen the shareholder democracy.”

Chris Rowland, head of global custody at State Street, adds: “We have been engaged with the Proxymity team on our strategic and shared goals of enhancing our client services and we look forward to continuing to build on our progress in these markets.”
