Richard Hughes has been appointed group head of the commercial office at JTC.
In the Jersey-based role, Hughes will focus on service delivery, development of new propositions, strategic partnerships and the commercial integration of acquisitions.
Hughes has more than 20 years of industry experience and joins JTC from investment management service provider Brooks Macdonald, where most recently he was international CEO.
Earlier in his career, Hughes was director of business development at financial services firm Vistra and spent almost five years as business development manager at BNP Paribas Securities Services, based in Guernsey.
Commenting on his appointment, Hughes says: “I am looking forward to working as part of a dynamic team with a clear growth trajectory.
“My focus is on continuing to grow and evolve the role of the commercial office within the group, supporting our two divisions and responding to demands of clients with the innovation and entrepreneurial flair that JTC is known for.”
Nigel Le Quesne, JTC CEO, adds: “2024 sees us move into the next phase of JTC’s growth with the launch of our multi-year Cosmos era business plan. Richard and his team will play an instrumental role helping to deliver our ambitious plans, where we aim to double the size of the business by 2027.”
