The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) has appointed Josh Woods to its board of directors.
Woods currently serves as chief technology officer (CTO) at Citadel Securities, where he leads technology teams that design and build systems that power global trading.
Prior to his current role as CTO, Woods was previously a senior director of engineering at Oracle, where he was responsible for engineering infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives.
Before this, Woods was director of engineering at Salesforce from 2012 to 2014.
Commenting on the new appointment, Craig Donohue, chairman at OCC, says: “Josh has a deep knowledge and understanding of financial technology, and we are pleased to welcome him as a director and a member of our Technology Committee.
“Our board and members will benefit from Josh’s expertise as we continue to foster innovation for market participants while promoting stability and integrity in our markets.”
