Börse Stuttgart Digital is the first German crypto-asset service provider to receive an EU license under the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
The issuing of the license is said to solidify the company’s position as a regulated infrastructure provider for banks, brokers, and asset managers across the region. Investors and institutional partners in the EU will now be able to gain reliable access to cryptocurrencies via Börse Stuttgart Digital, the firm says.
“Building on this foundation, we will broaden Börse Stuttgart Digital’s offerings with integrated solutions for financial institutions across Europe, accelerating the internationalisation and structural growth of our digital business,” claims Matthias Voelkel, CEO of Börse Stuttgart Group.
“The licensing of Börse Stuttgart Digital underscores our commitment to shaping transparent, secure, and regulated crypto markets. The issuance of the MiCAR license also enhances Germany's overall competitiveness in the European crypto market,” adds Oliver Vins, managing director and chief finance and regulatory officer of Börse Stuttgart Digital.
