Hex Trust has acquired Byte Trading, in a move the firm says will expand and scale its markets and prime services offerings to institutional investors.
The acquisition follows the launch of its electronic trading platform in November last year, marking an important milestone for the firm as it transitions from custodian to a full-service financial institution. The agreement will see Byte Trading’s platform integrated into Hex Trust’s secure and regulated infrastructure.
Beyond improving the company’s custody and staking offerings, Hex Trust says it will also be able to deliver a fully institutional markets and execution platform for digital assets.
Commenting on the agreement, Alessio Quaglini, CEO and co-founder of Hex Trust, says: “The acquisition of Byte Trading marks another important milestone in Hex Trust’s strategic development.
