SEC announce Crypto Task Force staff 04 March 2025US Reporter: Jack McRae

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the members of its Crypto Task Force staff.
Richard Gabbert has been named chief of staff with Michael Selig as chief counsel.
Taylor Asher is chief policy advisor and Sumeera Younis has been appointed as chief of operations.
The rest of the staff are made up of senior advisors, and include Landon Zinda, Donald Battle, Bernard Nolan, Laura Powell, Veronica Reynolds, Christopher Rice, Mark Sater, Andrew Schoeffler, Frank Sensenbrenner, and Robert Teply.
SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce says: “The Crypto Task Force exhibits deep expertise and an enthusiastic commitment to identifying — with the help of other talented staff across the Commission and interested members of the public — workable solutions to difficult crypto regulatory problems.”
The SEC will also host a series of roundtable discussions on key areas of crypto assets.
‘How We Got Here and How We Get Out – Defining Security Status’ will be the first roundtable in its ‘Spring Sprint Toward Crypto Clarity’ series.
