Farhad Merali has been hired as head of corporate and institutional coverage for Lloyds North America.
Merali brings 19 years of experience to the New York-based role, where he will be expected to oversee the bank’s growth strategy in North America. He joins the company from CIBC Capital Markets, where he most recently served as co-head of CIBC’s US corporate banking division.
Commenting on the appointment, Bill Mansfield, CEO and country head, Lloyds North America, summarises: “Farhad’s appointment reflects our commitment to strengthen our North American business and deepen relationships with key corporate and institutional clients. His extensive experience and leadership will play a critical role in delivering our strategic ambitions.”
