Software provider SS&C Technologies has confirmed that Hans Hufschmid, founder and CEO of GlobeOp, has stepped down from his role to pursue other opportunities.
SS&C confirmed his departure in its Q2 2012 results. It said: “We wish him all the best and he will continue in a consultative role with the company until January 2013."
Rahul Kanwar, senior vice president and managing director, will assume overall responsibility for the SS&C GlobeOp business. He will report to president and COO Normand Boulanger.
SS&C’s acquisition of GlobeOp in June was the largest in its history. The combined entity services more than 6700 funds with $424 billion in assets under administration.
At the time, Bill Stone, chairman and CEO of SS&C, said: “This is an exciting day for SS&C and GlobeOp and for the clients we serve. We have already begun our integration and are coordinating on sales and marketing and we have significant synergies. Together, we are a global leader, with the capability to serve our clients—whatever their size, location or sector—with one of the most comprehensive and competitive technology and services portfolios in the investment management industry."
