Andrew Knowles has been hired by RIMES Technologies to head up business development for its compliance services division.

RIMES Technologies is a specialist provider of managed data services and one of the pioneering adopters of cloud-based technology, delivering financial data over the internet.

In his new role Knowles will be responsible for further developing the firm’s data management solutions for the buyside through use of RIMES Benchmark Data Service (RIMES BDS).

Based in London, Knowles will report to Christian Fauvelais, CEO and co-founder of RIMES.

“Andrew understands the issues around the quantity, quality and timeliness of data required by buyside compliance departments and is perfectly positioned to support and grow our customer base by further developing our solutions to meet this unique set of challenges,” said Fauvelias.

Commenting on his appointment, Knowles said: “I am very excited to be joining RIMES. Index data and benchmarks are critical to investment management, but they are rapidly growing in complexity, presenting significantly different challenges to other data types, especially in the evolving regulatory environment.”

“I look forward to utilising my extensive experience in investment and regulatory restriction monitoring, and in particular UCITS compliance, to further establish the RIMES BDS as the leading managed service for the buyside.”
