Eurex Exchange Council elects chairpersons 22 January 2014 Frankfurt Reporter: Georgina Lavers

At its meeting on 21 January 2014, the Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland elected a new chairperson, as well as the vice chairman for the next three years.
Carola Gräfin von Schmettow, member of the management board at HSBC Trinkaus & Burkhardt AG, was appointed as chairperson, and Johannes Pieterse, managing director at Optiver VOF, was elected as vice chairman.
Lutz Johanning of the Otto Beisheim School of Management, and David Alan Martin of J.P. Morgan Securities, have also been elected to serve as investor representatives on the council.
The current Exchange council consists of 16 members and was elected on 2 December 2013. Eurex Exchange’s approximately 410 trading members were eligible to vote.
