CaIPERS has elected Anne Simpson, the senior portfolio manager and director of global governance to the Council of Institutional Investors board of directors (CII).
Simpson will serve on the board of directors from 1 July 2014, for the 2014-15 Fiscal Year.
She oversees CaIPERS focus list programme, which involves monitoring portfolio companies performance in finance, corporate governance practices and strategic issues.
Simpson has previously served as the head of the secretariat at the Global Corporate Governance Forum at World Bank and is a member of the private sector advisory group of the forum.
CII is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, association of pension funds and endowments.
