HSBC has appointed Alexis Meissner as head of its securities services business in the Americas.

Meissner, who joined the bank on 1 December, is responsible for growing the securities services business in the Americas and delivering end-to-end securities services to clients.

She will also be charged with launching a new sub-custody and clearing capability in the US to better service HSBC’s international clients that invest in US market.

Meissner joined HSBC from BNY Mellon, where she held roles in issuer services and global client management. Her most recent role was as client executive responsible for developing global strategic relationships with core clients across all product lines.

Cian Burke, head of HSBC’s securities services business, commented: “As a client-focused business, Meissner’s previous experience in developing and managing strategic relationships will be invaluable and I'm looking forward to working with her as she leads our business across the Americas in its next stage of development.”
