Carey Olsen has promoted Jeremy Garrood to 'of counsel' in its global litigation team, based in the Jersey office.
Garrood is an experienced offshore practitioner who has worked in Bermuda, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands.
He has represented a range of clients who require trust, insolvency and commercial litigation advice, while also specialising in complex cross-border company law cases.
He is currently instructed by a global hospitality group in on-going cross-border franchise litigation, he is advising in a Jersey unfair prejudice dispute contesting ownership of a Caucasian gold mine and on a BVI derivative action relating to Norwegian oil-drilling technology.
