Nasdaq recruits for index and data products

Nasdaq has appointed Salil Donde as executive vice president and head of global information services.

In his new role, Donde will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the business while managing the success and growth of Nasdaq’s current data and index products.

He will be based in New York and will report to Adena Friedman, president of the firm.

He has experience in technology and data companies, a background in the financial services industry, and for transforming companies and creating value for shareholders.

Previously, he worked as CEO at Lewtan Technologies where he developed and executed a new strategy to broaden the client base, increase revenues, and consolidate product platforms.

Friedman said: "[Donde’s] appointment represents our unwavering commitment to innovation and client partnerships as we continue to grow and expand our index and data offerings worldwide."
