SS&C’s GlobeOp Annex IV reporting service successfully aided more than 50 alternative investment fund managers with their reporting obligations, in order to meet the 31 January reporting deadline.
The web-based service is designed to use workflow technology to automate the reporting process, ensuring that data is capture and aggregated consistently.
Reporting data to the regulators is a mandatory requirement under the alternative investment fund managers directive (AIFMD). Information for more than 300 funds was reported using the GlobeOp service.
Michael Megaw, managing director of the Regulatory Solutions Group, said: “We use extensive regulatory reporting expertise and infrastructure to help customers overcome the immense challenges of data aggregation, jurisdictional differences, complex calculations and short time periods.”
He added: “This approach has given our clients the ability to meet their Annex IV deadlines without significant drain on internal resources.”
Tom Kirkpatrick, managing director of alternative assets for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, added: “Managers should evaluate their ability to produce this complex data internally versus the capabilities of proven regulatory reporting service providers who can pass through knowledge, expertise, technology and significant economies of scale.”
