Volante Technology has formed a strategic partnership with Access to Arabia (A2A) in order to help Jordanian banks to migrate to ISO 20022 payments messages, as mandated by the Central Bank of Jordan.
A2A is the standard mobile payments solution for financial institutions in the Middle East. It will use parts of Volante’s new payments integration development platform, Volpay Foundation, to aid conversion to ISO 20022.
The technology is designed to aid a quick and easy transformation, validation and enrichment of message formats using format ‘plug-ins’ and automated code generation. It also strives to insulate customers from complications arising from changes.
Mick Fennell, general manager for the Middle East and Asia at Volante Technologies, said: “The latest mandate by the Central Bank of Jordan is one of many ISO 20022-based migration projects currently occurring on both a domestic and international level.”
He added: “We support A2A’s drive to offer participants choice in how they migrate to the new standard and look forward to helping more customers address their payments integration challenges and seeing them benefit from our long term partnership.”
Nabil Halaseh, general manager of A2A, said: “Volante Technologies’ proven track record in helping accelerate message transformation and integration projects and their local expertise within the region means that they were a perfect strategic partner for our current and future Middle East banking integration projects.”
