AIM Software has appointed Ben Hopcroft as director of sales for the UK, Netherlands and the Nordic markets, to help expand the firm’s presence in these areas.

AIM provides enterprise data management solutions for financial and securities institutions. Hopcroft brings expertise in corporate actions processing and reference data, and has held sales management and product specialist roles at Interactive Data, XcitekSolutionsPlus, Fiserv and Exchange Data International.

He will be based in London, and report to chief commercial officer Josef Sommeregger.

Hopcroft said: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to represent AIM Software’s solutions in these regions. Firms in Europe are under huge pressure between increasing transactions volumes, security types, reduced settlement cycles, client pressure and coupled with increasing regulatory requirements – leading to increased manual controls, data sources and increased accountability.”

“What is needed is an approach that helps firms adapt to these changing requirements, with a solution that scales with them and therefore helps them focus on their core business.”

Sommeregger added: “Hopcroft’s established track record, diverse financial industry background, and global experience will be invaluable in enabling us to expand our business in the UK, Dutch and Nordic regions. Hopcroft comes to AIM Software with both sales management expertise and strong industry knowledge, and we look forward to his contributions to our operations.”
