SIX and telecoms provider Swisscom have announced they are working together, and with Swiss banks, to establish a single Switzerland-wide mobile payments solution, Paymit.
Along with UBS and Zürcher Kantonalbank, SIX launched Paymit in May. It will now enter the next phase of development with expansion to the retail and commerce segments.
Paymit is designed to bring additional value to both customers and businesses, and both SIX and Swisscom intend to develop products and services to help improve the shopping experience.
