Custom House Global Fund Services has opened a new London office and appointed Richard Hale to lead it as director of business development in the UK.

From the new office, Hale will be responsible for growing the firm’s business in the UK and Europe. He joins from Royal Bank of Canada, where he was most recently head of business development for the RBCIS Global Fund Platform.

He has worked in the investment funds industry for more than 20 years, also holding positions at Citibank, HSBC and JP Morgan.

Hale said: “I look forward to working with the Custom House team to build our niche and market presence in the alternative investment market across hedge funds, family offices, and traditional managers investing in the alternative assets classes.”
