Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) has acquired Ethix SRI Advisors for its sustainable and responsible investment capabilities.
Ethix SRI Advisors will be renamed as ISS-Ethix, effective from today (15 September).
The business provides its clients with expertise across a range of sustainable and responsible investment issues, including environmental, human rights, labour standards, corruption and controversial weapons.
Its key services include policy development, company research and portfolio monitoring, support of active ownership programmes, stakeholder communication, and reporting.
ISS-Ethix will maintain its operations in both Stockholm and Copenhagen and its staff representing 13 countries and 15 languages remains in place.
Ulrika Hasselgren, Ethix’s managing director and founding partner, will continue to lead ISS-Ethix.
Hasselgren will also lead ISS’s overall responsible investment business initiatives and continue to be based in Scandinavia.
