First Names Group has appointed two new client services directors, Carol Keenan and Gerard O’Gorman, effective immediately.

The new hires come shortly after First Names Group hired Malcolm Macleod as head of corporate services for the Channel Islands, and both will be based in the group’s head office in Jersey.

Keenan will work closely with Macleod and the corporate team. She joins from Elian, where she was group in-house counsel, and before this she spent 12 years at Ogier. Previously, she worked as a lawyer for Linklaters in Hong Kong and New York.

O’Gorman will assume responsibility for an existing private client portfolio. He has over 25 years’ experience in managing high-net-worth and ultra high-net-worth individuals and, most recently, spent 14 years at Royal Bank of Canada, where he was fiduciary business lead, managing a large client portfolio.

Ben Newman, managing director of First Names Group in Jersey, said: “Both [Keenan] and [O’Gorman] will play a vital role as we continue to build our corporate service line and further strengthen our private client offering in the Channel Islands.”

“They are both highly skilled professionals and I am confident their experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the team. We are delighted to have them on board.”
