MUFG Investor Services has appointed John Sergides as managing director and global head of business development and marketing.
The appointment coincides with the completion of MUFG Investor Services’ acquisition of UBS Asset Management Alternative Fund Services (AFS) business.
In his new role, Sergides will be responsible for driving MUFG’s asset servicing solutions. These include fund administration, middle-office outsourcing, custody, depository, trustee, fund of hedge fund financing, FX and wider banking services to new clients and expanding relationships with existing clients across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia.
Previously, Sergides served as global head of sales at UBS AFS. He brings with him experience from a range of roles in the investment management industry. He also served as head of business development and strategy, alternative fund services at Duetsche Bank.
