SS&C Technology Holdings has released the latest version of its HiPortfolio investment accounting and asset servicing software, including new capabilities to cater to the changing needs of investment managers.

The changes are intended to help streamline investment operations, and to improve integration, automation, and workflow efficiency.

Improvements include better automation of corporate actions, income announcements and auditing, and better reconciliation operations, intended to help clients move toward straight through processing.

SS&C has also improved HiPortfolio’s interoperability with other systems to aid integration of accounting data and reporting processes.

Upgraded franking credits capability is designed to help clients to handle localised Australian tax and reporting rules.

Christy Bremner, senior vice president and general manager for SS&C’s institutional and investment management division, said: “Our customers are turning to HiPortfolio’s sophisticated features to streamline complex operational processes while keeping pace with client demand for better transparency and reporting.”

She added: “We have a number of customers upgrading to the latest release of HiPortfolio and we are committed to helping our customers simplify their investment operations."

HiPortfolio supports investment management operations for third-party administrators, custodian banks, asset managers and insurance firms, and can manage the entire investment transaction lifecycle including trade capture, fund administration, reconciliation, and performance management and attribution.
