SWIFT is to launch Name Screening, a new hosted cloud service that allows for online search engine-style searching of names.
The new service, which will launch in early 2017, will screen against government sanctions lists and firms’ proprietary lists, including lists of politically exposed persons and relatives and close associates, supplied by Dow Jones’s risk and compliance data.
Luc Meurant, head of compliance services division at SWIFT, said: “Name Screening will provide financial institutions and corporates with an all-in-one screening solution that is fast and secure, as well as easy and cost-effective to implement.”
