Lawrence Au has left his post as executive advisor, Asia Pacific, at BNP Paribas after more than 17 years with the bank.

Au was appointed head of Asia Pacific securities services at BNP Paribas in 2010 and became executive advisor in January 2016.

Before working at BNP Paribas, Au worked at Northern Trust as general manager of the Asia Pacific region for 10 years.

Commenting on his departure, Au said: “It has been an amazing journey for me with BNP Paribas over the past eight years.”

“We took our start-up securities services platform in [the Asia Pacific region] off the ground to become a market leader in the region today. I was really privileged to have been given the unique opportunity.”

He added: “As to my next chapter, I will remain active to pursue various interests but not be tied by full-time arrangements.”
