BDO LLP, an accountancy and business advisory firm, has appointed Justin Chait as international audit partner to join its expanding financial services team.

Chait joins BDO following 12 years at KPMG. He specialises in asset management, property and fund administration companies.

Chait will be based in London as BDO continues to grow and invest in its financial services offering.

The news comes after earlier this month, BDO announced the appointment of a new partner to its mergers and acquisitions, Gurpal Ahluwalia, as well as the promotion of 14 new partners.

Commenting on his appointment, Chait said: “The UK is home to one of the most dynamic financial services industries in the world. The team at BDO understands the issues and regulatory pressures clients face and it has an exceptional track record of delivering top quality audits.”

He added: “I am looking forward to working closely with them to ensure we continue to provide practical solutions to the issues that financial services firms are facing.”

Paul Eagland, managing partner at BDO, commented: “I am thrilled to be welcoming Justin Chait to our financial services team. It’s a fast-growing sector for us as we help clients retain and grow assets, mitigate risk and respond to ever-changing regulatory requirements.”

He added: “Chait’s appointment reinforces our commitment to ensuring our clients receive the best and the right advice to manage these demands.”
